Choosing the right Ski Goggles for you

Buying Ski Goggles can be complicated as the choice is huge!  But when you are on the slopes fighting fogged-up goggles you may wish you had been a little more picky.  So here are a few tips how might help you buy the right ski goggles for you:

  1. Look for Cylindrical or Spherical lens to get superior optical clarity.  Cheap ski goggles use ‘stamped lenses’ which are flat.
  2. Choose the lens for the conditions of the day:  sunny/ mixed/ low light.  You can even get photochromic lens that automatically adjust to the conditions.  Think about the time of year you are going skiing...earlier in the season is more likely to meet mixed conditions.
  3. It is essential that your goggles offer 100% UVA/UVB/UVC Protection.
  4. Make sure your lens have an anti-fog feature - nothing more annoying then having to keep taking your goggles off to clean them.
  5. Try the goggles on with your helmet to ensure they fit comfortably together.
  6. Comfort - lots of soft face foam for comfort and protection if you do take a tumble.
